Monitor won't display red

I have a 17in Taxan monitor, which I bought in February 99. After moving it, the monitor no longer displays red. I have checked the connections and everything else I can think of. When I access the monitor's Setup menu, red is displayed correctly. What has happened?

Since the menu is displayed correctly, the monitor itself must be okay. If the connections are indeed firm then there is probably a break in the cable. The simplest way to verify this is to borrow a cable from another computer. The only other possibility, but it's very unlikely, is that the graphics card is faulty.
